Free...free...I'm free at last!!

Whew!! My first semester is over, and it couldn't have come sooner. I'm home safe after a long car ride. Jeff and I arrived around 9 last night, to a FREEZING Chico. I had my last final yesterday morning, all in all my finals went well. I'm excited to see the results of my labor when I receive my grades. But for now I am perfectly content with sitting in front of the fire, reading my latest book with my dog. And before you know it, my Dad will be shaking me in my bed saying "Brianna WAKE UP you slept through Christmas Eve, ITS CHRISTMAS!!!"

Until next time. ~Brianna

Almost there... keep studying!

Well... its here, one of the two most dreaded weeks in a college students year...finals. Starting a week from today I will embark on my first college finals experience. I'm not too worried, should be a walk in the park... I hope. I'm doing well for all my readers, I'm excited to come home a week from Thursday (that's nine days for those counting like me). It will be a great break to have a little over a month off, but I have to jump a pretty big hurtle first. I look forward to seeing you all again. Here's some goofy pictures of how I feel right now.

This is Brianna.

I'm HOME!!

It is so nice to be home visiting family and friends. And also a nice break from my classes. We have family pictures today, and of course tomorrow is Thanksgiving, so HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all of my visitors. Especially Kellianne, my dedicated visitor! Hope everyone enjoys their break as much as I will.

2005 Bridge School Benefit Concert

Last night was such an amazing night. Via funds of Jeff's Dad Dwaine (Thanks!) we were able to go to the Bridge School Benefit Concert in Mountain View at the Shoreline Ampitheatre. The show headlined Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, but also included Dave Matthew who was great, Norah Jones an upcoming star that was extremely talented, also Gerry Lee Lewis who rocked the house with 'Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire!!,' Emmie Lou Harris, Good Charlotte, Los Lobos and a few others. The concert rocked the night away, and we had a blast, check out the pics to the right! There's a section just of pics from the concert.

OC Swap Meet

Today Jeff, Andrea and I went to the OC Swap Meet! We had a blast, and it reminded me of the good times when our family used to go together. There were a few key purchases made I'll admit, but otherwise it was just a fun time. I've included some quick pics I took, including Andrea going back to her heritage (JK Andrea you know I love you, and you're not Chinese!) and Jeff with his fantasy car. And Mom I know you're jealous, but you'll just have to come visit on a weekend so we can go together, and bring Donya too!! Miss everyone, love you! But I have to go study for my two tests tomorrow 8'(

Fun at Cal Poly SLO

Last weekend Jeff, my roommate Andrea and I went to Cal Poly SLO to visit with some friends. We had an awesome time seeing all old friends there, it was like a Chico reunion. To name a few, we saw Spencer, Romel, Claire, Gillian, Courtney, Cory, Tim, and Matt. It was so cool to see that San Luis Obispo is a lot like Chico, even had some of the same restaurants. We had to have a taste of home so we went to Woodstock's and Smokin' Moe's. We toured the city a little, went to the beach, and saw a Cal Poly volleyball game (that made me wish i was still playing in high school). But mainly the trip was about seeing the friends that we missed so much! Enjoy the pics!!

My First Sunset...here

I thought I'd share my first Newport Beach sunset with everyone! Isn't it beautiful? Not quite as pretty as Chico, but still quite a site over the water!

Meet My Roommates!!

I know some of you have been asking about my roommates, so I thought I'd dedicate an entry to them! Meet the girls of CSUFullerton C306!

First there is my actual roommate Melissa. She runs cross country and track for the school and is from Riverside. We get along great, and have lots in common.

Above is Melissa!

Next door are Andrea and Gina! Andrea is from Cupertino near San Jose and Gina is from San Dimas which is about twenty minutes from here. They're both awesome girls that are constantly bringing a smile to my face!

And in the last room are Brittany and Nicole. Brittany is from Santa Cruz and Nicole is from Santa Ana. Brittany played volleyball in high school and Nicole played softball so I have some obvious connections with them already.

We all get along super well, and its nice to not have one single roommate thats just weird...well except for maybe me!

Dodgers Win!!

The only person I felt bad for on Wednesday at the stadium was the poor young pitcher who was brought in to clean up Benitez's mess in the ninth. What an exciting game!! What more could you ask for in a Giants vs. Dodgers rivalry game, than: an early lead for them, a big inning for us, a bigger inning for them, and then a come from behind win in the ninth by US! Yes, I was raised by my father, and I wore my Dodger shirt proud on Wednesday night. Jeff and I had a really fun time. I probably had more fun than him, considering his choice of wardrobe. It was close until the end, and I was glad to be able to see the Dodgers come out on top. We arrived early, and were able to see Barry Bonds take a few practice swings and shag a few balls, but much to Jeff's disappointment he never entered the game. But after a late night, and early classes, I'm exhausted. I'm off for now. There's some pictures below, and more at the following website (just copy and past the link into your browser), there will be a Dodger section. Check them out, and I'd love to hear comments! Love you all.

We got some comments about this.

Boy did we get comments about this.

The view from our seats.

What a classic stadium.

Two weeks down...too many to go!

Well... I am officially a college girl. CSUF is my new home away from home. My classes have too much reading attached to them...but oh well, its nothing I can't handle. My room's tiny (shown in the picture), but the bed is killing me, I need my space to spread out!! I sleep enough though. I love being back down in So Cal, there's lots of stuff to do here ie. we've been to the beach, the swap meet (I know my mom's jealous), and lots of shopping. And the best part of being down here is that it only reaches about 85 at the highest for the days temperature. Its wonderful to wear jeans during the day. I miss Chico, but I'll be home soon. One of the top highlights so far was seeing the A's play the Angels on Wednesday. Although the A's lost, it was a great game. Talk to you all soon!
