SUPRISE!!

Well my roommates and my parents conspired behind my back to throw me a surprise party for my birthday! Boy was I shocked! Brittany, Gina, Melissa, Andrea, Jeff, Brian and I all had a great dinner at BJ's. It served not only as a birthday dinner, but also one last time for us all to really hang out before the stress of finals! We had a blast, and really enjoyed the PAZOOKIE'S (If you haven't had one you have to try it)!! Here are some pics from the night.

Packing...ugh

Last night began my official packing of my dorm. Ugh...what a... lovely... experience. As you can tell I'm not exactly thrilled with the packing process. Boxes...emptiness...yuck.

And packing means saying goodbye to some really great friends I've made this year. Not saying goodbye forever, just goodbye for summer. And adios to some roommates who will now become good friends...great friends...for life.

I will be leaving CSUF for the summer on May 26th, Friday. And I will be returning to Chico! I go back to school on August 4, 2006 to report for duty.

For those of you who haven't heard I've been hired to be a resident advisor for the 2006-2007 school year. Its very exciting and I will be living with one of my current roommates again in my singles apartment.

Thats all for now.

Here are some pictures of my sadness...

19th Birthday!!

Hello again everyone!

Today is May 14th, 2006 (Mother's day, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM) the day after my 19th birthday! And what an amazing birthday it was!

I was pleasantly surprised to receive wonderful gifts from all of my family!

On Friday night Jeff took me to a very nice dinner at a restaurant in downtown Fullerton called Romana Cucina. It was a really nice night.

And midnight, the first minute of my birthday my roommates, a few friends, and Jeff presented me with their presents. They had made me three cakes and a pie!

Jeff then handed me an envelope with two DISNEYLAND TICKETS inside!!

On Saturday we took our tickets and spent the entire day at Disneyland. Brittany, my roommate, works there and joined us for the second part of the day as well. It was such a blast. We rode all the rides we wanted, watched the parade, Fantasmic!, and the fireworks show! It was truly a birthday I will never forget.

Who could forget something like this?

Last Call with Carson Daly

On Thursday April 27th, a group of my friends and I went to the taping of Last Call with Carson Daly. We went for the specific purpose of seeing Ben Harper who was the musical guest for the show. Little did we know it was a special episode and Ben would be playing THREE songes instead of just ONE! We arrived early enough to sit in the first row of chairs on the balcony, and... when the music began we were moved to the FRONT ROW in front of the stage! We watched Ben Harper perform from a little over 5 FEET AWAY! It was a blast.
I was literally this close:

And here's the whole crowd at the show. If you look on the floor to the far right of the stage you can see Jeff's head, I'm standing right in front of him but I'm too short to see!

The show airs on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th) after Conan so check it out!!

Easter

Hope everyone had a nice Easter Sunday! I know I did, after attending Rock Harbor for the PACKED morning service, my roommate Gina invited a group of us to her house! We had a delicious dinner but I'm not sure what it was, they looked like mini turkeys! And then a good old fashioned Easter egg hunt. Of course I missed my family! But my holiday was still nice! Check out the funny pics of us at dinner!

Disneyland Surprise!

So my roommate Brittany, her friend Brett, my boyfriend Jeff and I were all sitting around on Thursday night. Brittany and Brett work at Disneyland together. Jeff asked Brett if he could get people in for free?

Brett replied with, "Yea, you wanna go?"

UHH...YEA!! Who wouldn't want to go to Disneyland on a Thursday night. We had such a blast. We rode Star Tours (My childhood favorite), the Jungle Cruise, the Haunted Mansion and the new Space Mountain. We also watched the INCREDIBLE fireworks show!! It was great.

What an amazing night. Here are a few picks, there are more on my flickr in a set called 'Disneyland Trip!'

SPRING BREAK

I decided to start Spring Break '05 with a bang...so I'm headed to the doctor this morning. Not sure what I've got, I'm just hoping it will not ruin my entire break! I flew home yesterday (Friday) morning, and arrived at my house around two in the afternoon. As for plans for the break, I feel the best way to go is to not have plans. I'll be home all week, just enjoying myself.

Until next time!

Merry Christmas to Jeff

Well last weekend Jeff and I got to finish off Christmas! We attended the Anaheim Mighty Ducks hockey game on Sunday March 12th, they faced the Phoenix Coyotes (coached by Wayne Gretzky). We had a lot of fun and it was Jeff's first hockey game! Here's some pics..

Sports FEVER!

Well last week was a sports filled week and weekend. Go Titans!! It started Wednesday night when Jeff's club volleyball team played at UC Irvine and won their first game three games to one!

IMG_0228.JPG

Next we were off to the Fullerton basketball game versus Pacific on Thursday night. It was telecast on ESPN2! We lost but still had a lot of fun, there were about 10 of us there together!

Progress

After the first few days of my beginning drawing class, I thought I wouldn't enjoy it much. However, it is turning out to be one that I enjoy a lot, and a class I am improving in. Below are some basic sketches that I've done of a water bottle and some fruit, not great but hey its progress!

Starting Steady

Well here we are, one week into the second semester, and of all things I've decided to pick up three units. Even so, I'm not really worried about the work load this semester. I probably won't be saying that when finals come around though. It was a good first week, I like most of my teachers and classes. What can I say? You win some you lose some. I'm hoping to start intramural volleyball this week though, we're (my roommate Brittany and I) playing co-ed this semester and hoping it will be a little more competitive.

There's a fire near Corona today, which leaves Fullerton a little icky outside. And it promises to be even warmer than the forecast 83 degrees, from the fire. I forgot what month we were in? Oh yes I remember, its FEBRUARY!

Happy Valentines Day everyone (in 8 days!)!

Love you!

Last night of freedom...

Thought I'd update one more time before I start my second semester tomorrow. I'm settled back into my dorm room and as of last night all of my roommates are home. We had a girls night last night as a finale to our break.

IMG_0338.JPG

I'm excited yet apprehensive about this semester. I'm beginning my business courses which will determine if that is the field that I really wish to enter. I'm crossing my fingers that it will be something useful as well as enjoyable. Hope this entry finds everyone doing well.

Lots of love!

Back from the Break

Well here I am back in the O.C. And what a wonderful homecoming it was, spending $117 on books for one class....ahhh the college life. Sorry I haven't updated my blog lately. I was kicking back in Chico enjoying my long winter break. Some of my highlights from the break include:

I won a iPod nano from a contest where I sold my college textbooks from last semester. That was exciting is the larger nano and its black!

I received a sewing machine for Christmas, along with a lot of other nice gifts. We spent Christmas just the five of us in Chico, it was nice to enjoy a good day as a family.

I accompanied Jeff to visit his grandparents in Jackson or Sutter Creek. That was a nice trip and we even got to go into some neat antique stores.

IMG_0313.JPG

IMG_0312.JPG

Basically the bulk of my trip was visiting with family and friends and just catching up on everyone's lives. Now that I'm back in school...its back to business. I have a full load coming at me starting next Monday, the 30th. I'm taking 15 units this semester including: American Studies, Basic Drawing, Biology (ugh), English, and a Business class about computers (the expensive book class). I'm hoping this semester goes as well as the last one.

Miss everyone, leave comments!!

Free...free...I'm free at last!!

Whew!! My first semester is over, and it couldn't have come sooner. I'm home safe after a long car ride. Jeff and I arrived around 9 last night, to a FREEZING Chico. I had my last final yesterday morning, all in all my finals went well. I'm excited to see the results of my labor when I receive my grades. But for now I am perfectly content with sitting in front of the fire, reading my latest book with my dog. And before you know it, my Dad will be shaking me in my bed saying "Brianna WAKE UP you slept through Christmas Eve, ITS CHRISTMAS!!!"

Until next time. ~Brianna

Almost there... keep studying!

Well... its here, one of the two most dreaded weeks in a college students year...finals. Starting a week from today I will embark on my first college finals experience. I'm not too worried, should be a walk in the park... I hope. I'm doing well for all my readers, I'm excited to come home a week from Thursday (that's nine days for those counting like me). It will be a great break to have a little over a month off, but I have to jump a pretty big hurtle first. I look forward to seeing you all again. Here's some goofy pictures of how I feel right now.

This is Brianna.
